Wow, now they're saying 10,000 were without power. And Charter is out again in some places of Dane county...just glad it isn't down here, or that would just be too much for me right now...I'm just recovering from Charter's downtime on Monday and having to go to the library w/my laptop to check my email. Not that my day's not without fretting already. I just spent 1.5 hours this morning trying to get my printer up and running after this morning power outage. It's an old 1995 Laser Printer 4/600 that I've hooked up w/an Assante Talk Local Talk to Ethernet adapter so that I can print via ethernet cables for my desktop and Stan's laptop (and wirelessly anywhere within range from my laptop w/Airport card!). It's a great little device and saved me from having to junk a perfectly good printer (or having to use my old Apple 75/7200 Power Mac as my Laser Printing Computer...ugh), but it's very finicky when there's an outage. It has to be the last device powered up and certain cables re-plugged in in a certain sequence that I obviously can't remember from one power outage to another.
