It's also very ugly. Looks like something out of a science fiction movie, where the multi tenacled thing sneaks up behind the unsuspecting victim and grabs them and absorbs thems. Please don't tell me you would buy that thing if it was in your price range.

It's the kind of thing that should fill a person with wonder the same way looking at a star filled night sky impacts us. The colors are caused by refracted rather than reflected light. The light comes out of the stone with a pure lazer like intensity, but unlike a lazer the waves are not parellel, so the colored light diffuses the way most light radiates. The pure color of light and the different wavelengths refracted from this kind of stone makes it a true and remarkable wonder of nature. It's a real jem.
