I had some sort of road trip dream were Ann and I were driving in our car on some roads of unknown space. At some point on the road there was a large smashed turtle on the road and we had to go around it. It was kind of sad.
oh that is terrible. out here at night there are always little frogs on the road, and they scare the crap out of me as they hop in front of my van. I always pray they are faster then I am! If i don't see anything squished on my way back home I am always relieved. As for turtles, I break and swerve for them, too!
We once saw a pickup run over a turtle ahead of us on the road. It was a water turtle and was crossing the road. We stopped and picked it up and found a crack in its shell.
We took it to the emergency vet that is connected with the university. They took it and told us the shell could be fixed and they would keep it and release it when it was well.
We don't know if the jerk ahead of us tried to run over it or was just dumb, but we were happy that the turtle could be helped. The vet didn't charge us any money either.
I wonder if the dream I had was more symbolic of some sort of long term change for me. I'm hoping it wasn't about any animals actually being harmed.
